Since a young age I've wanted to create things no one has seen before. I had a desire to incooperate my imagination with live tools and techiniques to impact others. Booker T. Washington once said, “The world cares very little about what a man or woman knows; it is what a man or woman is able to do that counts.” As a result, I have a drive to want to learn more to produce quality work that many can appreciate. Prior experiences have afforded me the opportunity to acquire skills that are necessary for successful participation in the Digital Media Industry.
During high school, I attended the Seminole County Public Schools Engineering Magnet at Lyman High School. My tenure in this program allowed me to have animation as my major track of study. Mr. Kevin Gouvia, lead instructor for animation, taught me various principles and techniques of animation. Experience was gained in modeling, rigging , texturing, and rendering animations. While I was a student of UCF’s Visul Language(CGI) program I have knowledge in Maya as well.
I was able to obtain an internship at the Institute of Simulation Training that allowed me to work collaboratively with two other interns to create models and animations for military training programs. The Institute’s use of Max 3-D allowed me to expand my repertoire of digital media skills and increased my appetite for learning more about the digital media field of study. Working with two other interns who are currently enrolled in the digital media department allowed the exchange of skills-based experiences and the ability for me to perform assigned task at a higher level of achievement. The successful completion of my internship resulted in me being asked to remain as an employee. In, 2009 I worked on the design and layouts for Universal Studios Rides, which I found to be an amazing experience. My previous experiences and acquired animation skills, passion for the art of digital media, desire to learn more, and ability to work with a team of people; will allow me to create projects that would exemplify the superior quality of work that is expected of individuals. Furthermore I feel there is much I can offer to companies as well as learn.
